Course Information - Bar & Barista

Our Bar & Barista package combines both our full Bartending and Barista Coffee Master Class courses at a discounted cost saving nearly $100. This practical, hands on course has been designed to ensure that you obtain the practical skills, confidence and micro-credentials required to work in the hospitality industry. On completion of the course you will have a set of skills in continuous demand from all sections of the industry.

Employers understand that not everyone has experience in the hospitality industry, but increasingly they are expecting new staff to have some sort of accreditation. Completing a course at Complete Hospitality Training (CHT) demonstrates not only that you have acquired the necessary skills to perform in a job, but it also proves that you are enthusiastic and willing to learn. Entrance Requirements Learners must be 17 years of age and over at the time of course commencement.
Pre-requisites There are no pre-requisite units for this course.
Duration Daytime option: 6 Days (week-end and week-day options available) 9am - 4.30pm. Evening option: 12 Nights (Monday to Thursday) 6.30pm - 9.30pm.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

Nationally recognised Statement(s) of Attainments:
SITHFAB021 - Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
SITHFAB025 - Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee
SITXFSA005 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety

Certificate of Participation.

Assessment Written assessments completed online and skills demonstrations.

Meet The Trainer

Will is a hospitality industry veteran with over 12 years of experience. Coffee and cocktails are his greatest passions as they provide a platform for artistic expression, creativity and can bring people together.

Specialties: Coffee and cocktails
Mission: Will knows that knowledge and skills build confidence, and confidence is essential for performance. Will’s goal is to develop this confidence in his students through practical skills and informed demonstrations. Developing their understanding of how and why is important.
Approach: Demonstration, practical work and in-depth discussion on the relevant topics. Practise always makes perfect.
Dedication: Building students’ foundational understanding and confidence and for them to be able to display work ready skills.

Government funding is not available for the standalone Bar & Barista course; however, you might want to consider doing our Government funded* Certificate IV in Hospitality (SIT40422), which includes all content from the Bar & Barista.

If you are an Australian citizen (or permanent resident) you may be eligible for this subsidised course.

Certificate IV in Hospitality (SIT40422) is a nationally recognised qualification which includes:
